FOLLOW JESUS 365 MORNING WATCH DEVOTIONAL READINGS 2026

Overarching Theme: God’s Masterpiece in Every Life – Called to Share His Love

The year-round structure is designed to build faith progressively, with the final 40 days (November 22 – December 31) serving as a focused climax that weaves together lessons from all seasons and empowers participants to live out evangelism in their homes and communities.

SEASON 1: FOUNDATIONS OF IDENTITY (January–March)

Core Theme: You Are Known, Loved, and Chosen

Goal: Establish a firm understanding of inherent worth in God’s eyes, regardless of ability or difference.

  • January: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made – Explore God’s creative design in all people; introduce that every life has purpose.
  • February: God’s Love Knows No Bounds – Study biblical stories of inclusion (e.g., Jesus with the marginalized); link love to evangelism’s heart.
  • March: Chosen for a Purpose – Affirm unique callings, including how disabilities, learning differences, and gifts equip us to share Jesus.

Connection to 40-Day Focus: These lessons lay the groundwork for Week 1 of the 40 days (Preparing Our Hearts), where participants draw on their identity in Christ to nurture faith like “good soil.”

SEASON 2: GROWING IN FAITH (April–June)

Core Theme: Faith That Moves and Acts

Goal: Connect personal faith to tangible action, building confidence to serve.

  • April: Faith as a Foundation – Strengthen resilience through trust in God; address how challenges deepen faith.
  • May: Using Your Gifts for God – Celebrate diverse strengths (creativity, empathy, perseverance) as tools for evangelism.
  • June: Acts of Love in Community – Practice practical kindness, mentoring, and inclusive gathering as ways to share Jesus.

Connection to 40-Day Focus: Week 3 (Witness in Words & Deeds) builds on this season’s emphasis, as participants apply their gifts and learned actions to live out their faith visibly.

SEASON 3: REACHING OUT (July–September)

Core Theme: Light in Every Corner – Sharing Jesus Together

Goal: Emphasize collective evangelism and breaking down barriers to inclusion.

  • July: Witness in the Home – Nurture family faith spaces where all members contribute to sharing hope.
  • August: Building Bridges of Inclusion – Learn to make faith communities accessible and invite others to belong.
  • September: Courage to Speak and Serve – Encourage boldness in sharing stories and partnering to meet needs.

Connection to 40-Day Focus: Week 2 (Building Bridges) and Week 5 (Celebrating the Harvest) extend this work—participants use skills from this season to connect with others and celebrate collective growth.

SEASON 4: SUSTAINING HOPE (October–December)

Core Theme: Hope Endures – Carrying Jesus into the Future

Goal: Persevere in faith and prepare to pass on the Gospel. The final 40 days are embedded here as the season’s focused mission phase.

PHASE 2: SPECIAL 40-DAY FOCUS – “Hope & Harvest – Carrying Jesus into Every Home” (November 22 – December 31)

  • Each week of the 40 days includes a “Year-in-Review” reflection prompt to connect current action to past growth.
