THEME: God Knows You by Name and Claims You as His Own

For Persons With Disability (PWD), SPED Learners, and the Gifted Child of God in Every Home | Sparkle ATOMS Care Groups

🕊️ OPENING THOUGHT

In a world with billions of people, it’s easy to feel like just a face in the crowd—forgotten or unimportant. But God sees you as no one else can: He knows every detail about you, including the very name you were given, and He calls you His own beloved child. This truth is not just for some people—it’s for every single one of us, regardless of how we learn, what challenges we face, or what gifts we carry. You are never lost to God; He has claimed you as His own, and nothing can separate you from His love.

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1 (NIV)

🙏 DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

God’s promise to call us by name reveals the deep, personal relationship He desires to have with each of us. When He says “you are mine,” it’s not just a general statement—He is declaring ownership of us with love, protection, and purpose. We are not just part of a group or a number to Him; we are individuals He knows completely and cherishes deeply.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)

Even before we took our first breath, God knew us—our thoughts, our days, and the unique role He has for us to play. This means He understands every struggle you face and every gift you hold. He has set you apart not because of anything you’ve done, but because of who He is and how much He loves you.

“I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”
Isaiah 49:16 (NIV)

God carries you close to His heart, like a treasured carving in His very hands. No matter what you may be going through—whether you feel overlooked, misunderstood, or limited in any way—He holds you securely and keeps you always in His sight. His claim on your life is unshakable.

Your identity is rooted not in what others see or say about you, but in the fact that God knows you by name and calls you His own. This truth gives you worth that no one can take away and a place in His family that is forever secure.

✍️ QUOTATION FROM ELLEN G. WHITE

“God knows every soul by name. He knows the very hairs of their heads. He has a boundless love for each one, and His care and watchfulness are exercised over all. No one is so low, so sinful, so helpless, but that he may find pardon and peace through the atoning blood of Christ.”
The Desire of Ages, p. 369

đź’ˇ PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS FOR SPARKLE ATOMS CARE GROUPS

For Persons With Disability (PWD)

  • Know that God knows your name and every part of your life story—your challenges do not make you invisible to Him.
  • Claim His promise of belonging: You are a valued member of His family, with a special place only you can fill.
  • Share your story: Let others know that because God knows them by name, they too are loved and cherished.

For SPED Learners

  • Remember that God knows exactly how you learn and see the world—He made you this way on purpose.
  • Respond to His call: When you feel loved and known by God, you can share that love with friends and family.
  • Speak His truth: When you feel left out, remind yourself that “I am known and loved by God.”

For Gifted Children of God

  • Use your gifts to help others know they are known by name—write a note, create art, or share a story about God’s love.
  • Avoid letting talent define your worth: Your true value comes from being God’s beloved child.
  • Reach out to those who may feel overlooked: Help them understand that God knows their name too.

For Every Home

  • Learn each other’s stories: Take time to share what makes every family member unique in God’s eyes.
  • Create a “name wall” or journal: Write down each person’s name along with Bible verses about God’s love for them.
  • Pray for each other by name: Ask God to help every family member live confidently as His beloved child.

CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for knowing me by name and claiming me as Your own. Help me to believe deep in my heart that I am never forgotten or unimportant to You.
