THE LAST 40 DAYS OF 2025: SEASON OF PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING
Day 38
WELCOME, BELOVED FAMILY
Greetings to our H4J Homes for Jesus Community and DCN300 family! As we continue our journey through these final 40 days of 2025, may our hearts be open to God’s work of renewal in us and in our community.
THEME
Refresh My Heart in Christ – Seeking and Providing Spiritual Renewal Within the Community of Believers
SCRIPTURE FOCUS
REFLECTION
Paul’s simple yet powerful plea reminds us that spiritual renewal is not a solitary journey—it happens in community. Just as Paul looked to his brother in Christ for refreshment, we are called to both seek and offer encouragement, strength, and renewal to those around us. This challenges us to ask: How am I being a source of refreshment to others in my faith community? And where do I need to receive that same renewal today?
Paul’s words motivate us to live out this truth: “Actively seek and provide spiritual refreshment, creating a community where hearts are renewed in Christ!”
ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES FOR MEDITATION
- Psalm 23:3 (NIV): “He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
- Matthew 11:28 (NIV): “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
- Acts 3:19 (NIV): “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
CONNECTING TO OUR FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS
This focus on spiritual refreshment aligns with core truths we hold dear:
- Belief 11: Growing in Christ – Spiritual growth requires ongoing renewal through the Holy Spirit.
- Belief 12: The Church – The church is a living community where members support and encourage one another in faith.
