Day 11 | FOLLOW JESUS 365: YEAR OF FAITH IN ACTION 2026

Theme: Differences Are Part of God’s Perfect Creative Design

Scripture Focus: Psalm 139:15-16 (NIV)
“My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Additional Scriptures:
– Genesis 1:27 (NIV): “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
– 1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV): “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”
– Romans 12:4-5 (NIV): “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
OPENING

Good morning, dear friend! As the sun rises over the Philippine shores, painting the sky in unique hues of orange and gold, let’s pause to see ourselves—and every person around us—as masterpieces crafted by our Creator.

SCRIPTURE & REFLECTION

When we look at the world, we see endless differences: in looks, gifts, cultures, ways of thinking, and life experiences. It’s easy to view these gaps as problems to fix or reasons to divide. But Psalm 139 reminds us that every part of who we are was known and woven by God long before we took our first breath.

From the very beginning, God designed humanity to reflect His image in diverse ways—male and female, with unique strengths and callings (Genesis 1:27). The apostle Paul uses the metaphor of a body to illustrate how our differences work together for a greater purpose: though we are many parts, we form one unified family in Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12; Romans 12:4-5).

“God has made no two faces alike, and no two minds alike. He has given to each a different make-up, that each might be a help and blessing to the rest, that each might contribute something that would not be in the world if that one were absent.”
— Ellen G. White, Education, p. 216

Our differences are not accidents—they are part of His perfect design. Just as a tapestry needs threads of every color, texture, and thickness to tell its full story, God’s family needs each unique person to reflect His complete glory and fulfill His purpose on earth.

FAITH IN ACTION

Today, let’s put this truth into practice:

  • Look for one way a difference in someone around you (a family member, neighbor, or colleague) enriches your life or community.
  • Reach out to someone who thinks or lives differently than you—listen to their story with an open heart, and share yours too.
  • Pray for the courage to celebrate diversity instead of letting it create distance.
  • Identify one unique gift you have, and consider how you can use it to serve others who are different from you.
PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for weaving me—and every person—with care and purpose. You created us in Your image, made us parts of one body, and designed our differences to strengthen and bless each other. Help me live out the truth that we all belong to one another. Teach me to love and serve others as You do, that together we may reflect Your perfect design to the world. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“We are different parts of one body, and we all depend on each other.”
(1 Corinthians 12:21, CEV)
Go forth today knowing you are fearfully and wonderfully made—and so is everyone you meet.
