Day 29
LAST 40 DAYS OF 2025: SEASON OF PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING
Welcome to Day 29 of our Season of Prayer and Thanksgiving, beloved family of H4J and DCN300!
THEME: Who Once Was Unprofitable – Recognizing the Potential for Transformation and Redemption in Every Individual
FOCUS: Redeeming Grace
Scripture: Philemon 1:11 (NIV)
“Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me.”
REFLECTION
Paul’s words about Onesimus remind us that Christ’s transformative power can redeem and repurpose any life. We are called to look beyond past mistakes and see the potential for growth and service in every person. As we walk this 40-day journey, let us strive to build communities of grace and opportunity, trusting fully in God’s redemptive work. A powerful truth to hold: “See the potential for transformation in every person, believing that God can make even the ‘useless’ profitable!”
ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV): “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
- Ephesians 2:10 (NIV): “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
- Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV): “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
CONNECTING WITH THE 28 FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS
This focus aligns with:

May we commit to believing in God’s redemptive power, following Paul’s example, and strengthening our H4J and DCN300 communities as we see every individual through His eyes!
